Johnnie Crawford Obituary

Johnnie B Crawford, was born November 25, 1941 to John and Jessie Mae Crawford in Lomax, Alabama. (Who presided him in death). Johnnie, moved to Detroit, Michigan at the early age of 31, in 1972 after the passing of his mother Jessie Mae. His Family moved him to live with his Sister Lela Neal (Crawford). Some years later after his move, his health issues became more severe, so the family had to place him in Alpha Manor Nursing Home, where he was cared for and loved by the staff for many years. Johnnie later became Semi-Mobile and had to start using a wheelchair to get around while in the nursing home. But that didn’t stop him from getting out and making his way around thru the nursing home to conversate and visit regularly with the staff and other residents who stayed there. He loved watching westerns and listening to music. He had a definite love for apples and oranges and a definite sweet tooth for desserts. His Mom Jessie Mae would always have sweet baked goods for her family after a good home cooked meal. He enjoyed his family visits and looking at many family pictures of his growing Crawford Family. Johnnie was one of 12 children born to Jessie Mae and John. Nine of his siblings preceded him in death: Joe, Bill, Frank, Raymond, Cleveland, Edna, Velma, Theatrice and Baby Girl Deceased at Birth. He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his 2 sisters Lela Mae, Sylvia Lee and Sister In Law Margaret, and a host of Nieces, Nephews and other relatives and friends.]  Johnnie B Crawford, was born November 25, 1941 to John and Jessie Mae Crawford in Lomax, Alabama.
