Steven Earl Tartt (Dog) was born on October 6, 1959, in Detroit, MI. Stevie attended the Detroit Public Schools system.
Steve was employed in the hospital, food, and maintenance industries.
Stevie loved the Lord. He performed at many churches, lounges, and events playing the lead guitar; music was his passion. He performed at the Starlight, Emeralds, Ravens, and Elbow's Lounge. He also was a backup guitarist for popular Detroit group The Floaters.
To know Stevie was to know he was a mama's boy. He loved food, music, Miller High Life, and leaving his shoes untied.
Stevie was a kind hearted, loving, and giving person. He would give you his last dollar with a smile on his face!
Stevie was preceded in death by his parents Evans and Rebecca Tartt and three brothers Evans Tartt III, Kenneth Tartt, and Michael Tartt. Stevie leaves to cherish his memory one brother, Dale Tartt, three sisters, Barbara Mills, Tina Taylor, and Rhonda Cummings; a special person whom he loved as his daughter, LeQuila Duncan, two aunts Viola Jones and Lila Jean Tartt; a special friend Marvella Robinson, who stayed by his side until the end. A host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
