Michael Malone

Michael Eugene Malone, affectionately known as "Mike," was born to Shirley Malone on July 11, 1954. Michael was raised in Detroit, MI, and educated in the Detroit Public School System.

Michael met and married Laverne Mahan in Detroit, MI. They had two children, Shadena and Shelia.

Michael lived a life full of hard work, laughter, and passion for the things he loved. He was proud to have worked at the first Grand Prix in 1982 in Detroit, MI, where he helped hang signs for the event, playing a part in a historic moment for the city. His love for automobiles was unmatched—he enjoyed taking cars apart just to put them back together again, always fascinated by how things worked.

Beyond his skills and craftsmanship, Michael had a great sense of humor that could make anyone smile. He loved spending time at the beach, enjoying the peacefulness of the waves and the beauty of the outdoors. Above all, his greatest joy in life was his daughters, Shadena and Shelia, whom he loved deeply and spoke of with immense pride.

His presence, laughter, and unwavering love will be forever missed but never forgotten.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Malone, and one sister, Janice Malone.

Michael leaves behind cherished memories with his two loving daughters, Shadena and Shelia Mahan, his sister, Carol Malone-Posey, and his brother, William Malone. He will also be dearly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and countless friends.
