Latasha Harris

March 30, 1988 ~ August 4, 2023 (age 35) 35 Years Old

Obituary

Latasha Danielle Harris, 35, of Clinton Township, MI passed away unexpectedly at her place of residence on Friday, August 4th, 2023.

Latasha Harris was born at Riverview Hospital in Detroit, MI on March 30,1988 to parents Rolondo and LaRae Manson of Detroit, MI. Latasha attended McKenzie High School, Detroit Michigan. She was determined to get her degree by pursuing, and later receiving her GED and Medical Billing Certification in the Career School of Highland Park, MI.

In 2015 she met the love of her life Johnnie Harris. Latasha and Johnnie joined hands in marriage, June 23, 2017., and to this union they went on to have their one and only handsome son, Johnnie Harris III.

The two of them shared many laughs and good times and they were both proud to call each other husband and wife. She especially loved seeing her husband happy by going to Cedar Point each year as a family, just long as they were together.

She started school again in 2019 at Dorsey College in Roseville, MI as a Medical Assistant. She loved going to school and was always excited to learn new things.  Anything she learned she would tell her family or practice with them on what she was learning. She was looking forward to helping people as she would be there for you if you needed her.

Latasha had many nicknames most people knew her as Tasha, Peaches, but to her husband Johnnie she was known as Yaya or School Teacher because of her glasses. Latasha began studying the bible with Jehovah Witnesses in 2018 with her mother-in-law Ruthie Harris. She was never baptized as a Jehovah Witness, but opportunities would arise where she would talk to other people about what she had learned.

She loved decorating the house, listening to music, dancing, binge watching tv or movies, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She was an adventurous, open-minded, fun-loving person that would laugh at everything, and most of the time would have a smile on her face. Even though her heart wasn’t strong in her later years, she had a huge heart that was generous, kind, and caring. She always thanked and told her family she loved them.

Latasha was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Joanne Frazier. She leaves to cherish her memories; her husband, Johnnie (Dale) Harris; son Johnnie (Booby Cakes) Harris III; Stepchildren Justin Harris, Mariya Harris, and Brandy Harris; Father Rolondo Manson; mother LaRae Manson; Two brothers Michael Howard, Jalen Howard; Nephew Michael Howard III; Great Aunt, Wendy Mayfield. Father and Mother-in-law Johnnie and Ruthie Harris. Three sister- in laws Sheila Harris; Ebonie Secorski (Geoff); Regina Ward (Herman), AZ. Two brother-in laws Maurice Harris (Beth); Charles Gordon (Adrena), OH., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
