Juan Samuel Rhodes came into this world with a force on January 1, 2002.He was a child that was inquisitive and full of wonderment. He began talking at the age of nine months ( give or take). His educational years were spent both in Detroit Public Schools and Hamtramck Public Schools. He was an excellent student from the beginning. His teachers absolutely raved about his abilities. He received many awards throughout his K-12 years and was usually what one would call “highly favored” with teachers and staff. This was due to his generosity and willingness to help no matter where or when. He participated in many activities in Hamtramck High School including the band. Juan graduated in 2020 with plans to attend college for Psychology. He wanted to know how people’s brains work. Juan stayed out of trouble and made everyone’s life a joy. He was wonderful, awesome amazing and humble. Everyone loved him! He was an avid video game player and was especially happy in the presence of his best friends Ahmad and Kobe.
Preceding this loss of this light of the world is his brother DeMareo Lee, Samuel Rhodes (grandfather) Gail Webb (grandmother) and Beatrice McClenic (great grandmother). Proceeding him in death is DeJuan and Aleisha Rhodes (parents), Dene Rhodes (brother; Dene Jr. and baby Tracey), Debra Rhodes (grandmother), his aunts and uncles: Charita, Lenzell, Jason, Kevin and Ryan and a huge host of family and friends.
Juan will be so sorely missed in our lives and our hearts. We cherish our time with him here and we can’t wait to see him again.
