Darlene Broadnax

Darlene Broadnax was born on May 13, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Med Walker, Sr. and Emma Sue (Lattimore) Walker. 

She was one of 8 children: (Marshall, Donald, Anthony and Ann) all preceded her in death.

Darlene attended Detroit Public Schools and graduated from Eastern High School in 1964. Darlene worked a variety of jobs during her lifetime: home improvement, Certified Nurses Assistant and she had a particular passion for working with the developmentally disabled.

She married her high school sweetheart, James E. Broadnax and to this union three children were born.  She was very loving and enjoyed spending time with her family.  And when she became a grandmother she devoted her life to showering them with her love.

She leaves to Cherish her memories her children: Erick Broadnax, Audra M. Broadnax and Dawana Broadnax; her siblings, Michael Walker, Med Walker, Jr. (Gaila) and Carla Walker; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
