Veronica Evans

Veronica Michelle Evans was born December. 09, 1968 in Malvern AR but called Detroit, MI home until the age of 12. She relocated to Atlanta, GA for several years before returning to Detroit, MI. After completing high school, she enlisted in the Navy and studied to become a surgical technician.

Veronica loved her family.  Every holiday, you would find her firing up the grill to make he infamous grilled meats, preparing her much requested green beans, and fulfilling special requests for her crab salad or her spaghetti. She dedicated countless hours to keeping in touch with every family member near and far and was widely known for her witty and comedic honesty. She leaves a legacy of unifying the family with her constant encouragement of family vacations, reunions, and get-togethers.

Veronica's favorite song was "I Won't Complain" and she did not. In January 2010, she was burned in an horrific accident; however, through it all, she still did not complain. Throughout her illness, she could be found on Facebook each morning reaching out to her family and friends to wish everyone a blessed and happy day; oftentimes from her hospital bed.

 Everyone who knew Veronica was touched by her in some way. To cherish her memories and remember her always with love she leaves: a mother - Linda Hardin - Atlanta, GA, a father - Carl Glover Hot Springs - AR, three sons, Ralph Evans - Detroit, MI, Malik Evans - Grand Rapids, MI, and Bryson Evans - GA; two daughters, Whitney Evans - Detroit, MI and Ashley Evans - Detroit, MI, two sisters - Loretta Williams - Atlanta, GA, Elondafa (James) Almond, one niece - Taylor Williams - Carrolton, GA, one granddaughter - Stephanie Evans - Detroit, MI and countless aunts, cousins and friends.
